Economic independence is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. At Maanyi Community Development Centre, we believe that when people—especially women and youth—gain access to financial literacy, entrepreneurship skills, and business opportunities, they thrive and uplift entire communities.

Challenges in Economic Empowerment

Many Ugandans, particularly in rural areas, face:
🔴 Limited access to capital for starting or expanding businesses.
🔴 Lack of financial literacy leading to poor money management.
🔴 Few employment opportunities, especially for youth and women.
🔴 Dependence on subsistence farming, leaving families vulnerable to climate shocks.

Our Approach: Building Sustainable Livelihoods

Through Maanyi’s Economic Empowerment Initiatives, we provide:

📌 Entrepreneurship Training – Equipping individuals with business skills, from marketing to financial management.
📌 Microfinance & Savings Groups – Offering small loans and savings schemes to help women and youth start businesses.
📌 Vocational Training – Teaching practical skills like tailoring, carpentry, and agribusiness to open doors to employment.
📌 Business Mentorship Programs – Connecting aspiring entrepreneurs with experienced mentors.
